PhD scholarships on offshore structure vibration control

Project description: The successful applicant will work with Dr Kaiming Bi on his Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project on the offshore structure vibration control. Prof. Hong Hao will be the co-supervisor.

Requirements: Bachelor degree (first class honours or upper second class honours) in Civil Engineering or the related fields. Applicants with Master degrees with technical publications and research experiences in structural engineering, ocean engineering or mechanical engineering are preferred.

Language requirement: IELTS, Overall 6.5, Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening 6.0; or TOEFL 79

Scholarship: tuition fee will be waived+provide living allowance (around$28,000/year) for 3-3.5 years

Scholarship 1: Research Training Program (RTP

The Research Training Program (RTP) has replaced the below schemes effective 1 January 2017:

  • Research Training Scheme (RTS)

  • Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA)

  • International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS).

Recipients of these ceased schemes have been transferred to an equivalent Australian Government RTP scholarship.

China Scholarship Council – Post-graduate Study Abroad Program is a national scholarship program financing outstanding Chinese students (Chinese citizens) to study at top universities around the world. Curtin University is a partner university in this program.
